100 common chords
There are literally thousands of chords as there are many chord types, inversions and voicings. The following 100 common chords are the major, minor, major 7, dominant 7, minor 7th and suspended 4th chords in all 12 keys including many barre chords. The final four chords have alternative bass notes completing the hundred.
Major chords




A suspended 4th chord has the 4th note of the scale instead of the 3rd. It is called a suspended chord because it doesn't sound resolved until this note is replaced with the 3rd or when you change to a different chord altogether.
