You will have noticed that no flats (b) were used when naming the fretboard (fingerboard) notes. This was simply to save space.

A# is Bb.
C# is Db.
D# is Eb.
F# is Gb.
G# is Ab.

These letter names continue on beyond the 12th fret in the same order using the same patterns.
